The Positive Side of Being Single

Breaking up with a loved one is not the end of the world. Yes, you may feel terrible at the moment--Crying your hearts out until no more tears come out -- Incessant blaming of yourself or your former partner--Questioning yourself what could have been done to save the relationship….. Get a grip on yourself! You can’t turn back time.  Life must go on!  Acceptance is the key to being happy again…:D    So I say, breaking up is not merely an end to something not worth cherishing forever  but rather  a NEW BEGINNING to something even better…and brighter… !!!!

Being single is tough. But have you ever asked yourself the things you missed while being in a relationship?  Let me tell you the things I missed the most:

1.    FREEDOM :  that is, doing the things I really want without asking for any consent like going out with friends whenever and wherever I want, seeing old college buddies, attending occasions, planning trips etc.

2.    QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS: it is not all about doing things with just the two of us anymore. Now I get to enjoy more time with those who truly cares for me—grocery time with my mom during day off, movie watching with my bro, sleepover at my friend’s house, story-telling with my dad.

3.    A NEW HOBBY :  sports? Learning a foreign language perhaps…cooking!

4.    FOCUS ON CAREER : whatever happened to my original plan of going abroad before he came to my life? hmmm….

5.    STRESS-FREE LIFE – no more fights on a regular basis (hurrah!). No need to adjust to his moodiness.

6.    TIME WITH GOD –  Now I get to talk with Him more often.

Singleness gives us a sense of independence…of control…of getting to know ourselves better… and not relying on someone for us to be complete. It is a growing experience and a part of life. Besides, who ever said that marriage is better? It is merely DIFFERENT.  Singleness prepares us to this ‘different ' stage. So no need to RUSH! Trust in God’s perfect timing…

Nevertheless being single means freedom to love again!
